May meeting announcement – Cucumber Parallelization + ROI Panel

This month we are ratcheting up the awesome with two separate sessions! Here’s what you get to pick from:

1) Parallelizing Your Tests

You’ve just begun your journey with ATDD and are writing tons of tests. Soon you’ll have so many that they’ll take hours to run. We’ll talk about why running tests in parallel needs to be a priority as soon as you start down this path. We started with a homegrown gridding solution, and we’ll explain why we are ditching that and going with Selenium Grid 2. We will go over some of the things to be aware of when standing up your own Selenium Grid 2 environment.

Presented by Andrew Vida and Brahma Ghosh from Grange Insurance.

2) Selling the Return On Investment of ATDD – Panel Discussion

Learning how to do ATDD is one thing, being able to convince management and the business to embrace the necessary changes is another thing. Our panelists have walked that road and are ready and willing to share their expertise and answer your questions.

Panelists:
Brandon Childers, Director of Application Development at IGS Energy
Mark Harris, Enterprise QA Manager at Grange Insurance
Terry Wiegmann, Director and Service Line Lead at Quick Solutions

This month’s meeting will be at IGS Energy, 6100 Emerald Pkwy in Dublin on May 3 from 11:30-12:30. Lunch will be provided thanks to our friends at Manifest Solutions! Please RSVP here. Hope to see you there!
