This month we have Parva Thakkar from Nationwide talking about setting up continuous integration for automated tests.
Frequent feedback is very important in Agile environment. Having a Continuous Integration (CI) framework helps achieve this. While this understanding is very obvious in development space, it is still taken as a backlog task in testing area. When teams step forward to implement Acceptance Test Driven Development (ATDD), requirement of having a CI framework is even more important than ever. This session on Automation CI will explain architecture of Cucumber CI framework using Hudson. You’ll get step by step details on setting up CI framework for your application.
Some of you may have attended Jeff “Cheezy” Morgan’s presentation at the ATDD group a few months back. Well, his long awaited book on ATDD with Ruby and Cucumber is finally out! It’s called Cucumber and Cheese and if you’re using Cucumber, you’re going to want this book. There aren’t a lot of books out there that show you the tools and techniques that you need to actually do the work like this one, so whether you’re experienced or a Cucumber noob, I’m sure you’ll love it.
This isn’t our official group meeting, but it’s related to ATDD so I thought I’d give it a shout out. If you’re interested in going, you can RSVP to Casey Cramer at ccramer at quicksolutions dot com.
