Feb 4, 2016 ATDD User Group Meeting – Docker for Testers by Donavan Stanley

Donavan Stanley will preview his Docker for Test Engineers talk he is doing at QA or the Highway.

Over the past two years Docker has grown from a little-known technology to “the new hotness” every data center needs.  In this talk we’ll explore how Docker can streamline and scale your test automation.  Over the course of this talk we’ll cover some Docker basics before standing up a rails app within a Docker container and testing it using a “dockerized” Selenium Grid.

Apologies on the miscommunication between us and the hosting site last meeting on lunch.  There will be lunch at the meeting.

The meeting will be at:
CoverMyMed
2 Miranova Place Floor 11, Columbus, OH

Edit to add

Park in our garage off Mound Street and we’ll validate your parking.  Take the garage elevator to the lobby then the main elevator to floor 11

Jan 2016 Meet up – Sustainable Frameworks through Page Objects

Kelsey Shannahan will discuss how Page Objects make your automation efforts more sustainable.

Abstract

Getting up and running with Cucumber isn’t necessarily hard.  Creating a test framework that survives the test of time can be a different beast, however.  This talk will cover one aspect of building a sustainable automation framework, namely: the page object model.  We’ll discuss what the model is, how it works, and how to implement it.

Meeting will be at Improving Enterprises

One Easton Oval, Suite 175, Columbus, OH
